Getting Started, My cryx list

So it time to start out and this is what I came up with:

Cryx
493/500 points, 17 VP, 10 models

Master Necrotech Mortenebra 92 points, 5 VP
* Deryliss
* Deathripper 38 points, 1 VP
* 2x Slayer 110 points, 3 VP each
* Stalker 64 points, 2 VP

Necrotech 9 points, 1 VP
Withershadow Combine 70 points, 2 VP

Not sure how effective it will be but its what I want to play. I have morty, and the deathripper. I started a pink test with a converted Skarre, I’m going to have to apply it now. I might get pics of the assemebled models but its nothing special.

Ryvrese’s First Paintpink Model

This is my first completed model for Paintpink. I truly wish I was a better artist but what can I say? I did what I can.

This is Aiyanna of “Aiyanna and Holt” fame. You can see a definite anime feel from the color and style. Somehow the only inspirational pieces from pop culture that I found in this color scheme were all anime and that seems to have come through. 🙂

So here is a few pics.

So, Bobaferret mentioned needing to work on someplace for pics to keep people from needing to navigate the forums.  So I figured to show off the epic casters I have painted up for the Cygnus of Awareness.  I will try to get some more models painted but I am lacking spare time, maybe I can stop working 14 hour shifts and be able to get this stuff done, that and all of the other projects I have in front of me.

Butcher Brawl

I did a test paint job on the Butcher a few months ago. This, for the most part, is how the army will look. I’ve got all of my resin bases now and it’s just a matter of getting everything assembled. It will definitely be worth the effort to pin all the models too.

I used the Butcher art as inspiration for this one. It pained me to bash the Ironclad head, but I like the way it turned out.

I wanted pink to be the accent rather than the primary color. I've always wanted to paint a dark Khador army and I like the way this turned out.

It was a lot of fun to paint the leather on this one. I suspect future models will have more blending than extreme highlights.

A few things have changed since I painted this model back in January. For starters, I have all of the models in hand. Secondly, I’ve started drybrushing my metals, which definitely speeds up painting and improves the overall look of my models. It gives me more time to spend on the other details. Finally, I’m fired up after spending the past weekend at Privateer Press HQ and watching a Ron Kruzie painting demo.

I’ve got a few other projects right now, but I’m going to start assembling the Khador. 🙂

Now open for business!

Well, we’re just shy of five months until October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so it’s time to get this place up and running. There is plenty of time to pick out an army and get it painted.

Project: Paint Pink was started in March 2009 as a way to provide support and encouragement for Warmachine and Hordes players who are painting armies to promote breast cancer awareness. It is designed for new and veteran players and painters alike.

The goal of Project: Paint Pink is to motivate players and painters to complete their armies in time for Breast Cancer Brawl events held in October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Players have the option to keep the armies they paint or auction them off for charity and donate the proceeds toward promoting breast cancer awareness. You are not required to auction your army to be a part of Project: Paint Pink.

Join the cause or offer support. Heck, you don’t even have to paint up a WM/H army. The point is to create awareness. Do this in whatever way you’re most comfortable.

Thanks for dropping by. 🙂

Jen
